Six Sentence – 3/25/12

Here’s another excerpt from my WIP. In this scene, the main character, Ryan, is being taken to a coffee shop by his new ‘friend’. She’s been driving her car in her bare feet and when they arrive, she steps out on to the ground neglecting the fact that it’s hot outside. I may be a little rusty with this posting, so I appreciate the understanding. Thanks in advance for your comments – they really help out a lot! So here it is:

“Oww!” Cammy cried, as she stuck her head back inside and extended her arm. “Quick hand me those!”

Ryan turned to her with a confused look on his face.

“My slippers dumbass! My feet are burnin’!”

“Sorry!” Ryan handed over her flip-flops, suddenly aware that she had been standing on the scorching asphalt in her bare feet.

She dropped them onto the ground, sighing loudly as she quickly slipped her feet onto the cool foot beds. Ryan snickered, covering his mouth with one hand, delighting in her suffering.
